For a long time, the toughest daedra I came across were Clannfears (and Clannfear Runts, at early levels). Tired of going the long route? Just cast Sea Stride and run across the burning lava.

Fire-throwing daedra? Can be ignored until they get in melee range. All those fire traps? Give me a slight sunburn at best. Playing a Dunmer makes the Planes of Oblivion a lot easier. My game plan is to do the Main Quest, Fighter's Guild, Mage's Guild, and Knights of the Nine questlines more or less simultaneously, though I want to finish Knights of the Nine first.Īlso, I have decided to close every Oblivion Gate I encounter immediately. Also, the character has maxed out Alchemy (but who hasn't?).

The character is a Dunmer, with sword and shield as primary weapons and Destruction and Conjuration as major backups. Now I am giving it another go - with Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul (for avoiding the "level trap") and nGCD (for smoother leveling and attribute increases) as major mods (also an "increase weight limit" mod, because I don't want to seek out shopkeepers every time I've looted a dungeon). I played Oblivion a bit last year, but never finished the main quest.
